National Team Preparations To Appear In The 2023 Asian Cup, Shin Tae-yong Is Physical And Mentally A Player
JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team is currently in Antalya, Turkey to conduct a training camp (TC) in preparation to appear in the 2023 Asian Cup. During the TC, the material provided by Shin Tae-yong was quite heavy because of his physical and mental focus.
This was revealed by the Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of PSSI, Zainudin Amali who participated in Antalya to monitor the national team's TC.
"The exercise itself looks behind, I followed from the start because I joined here," said Zainudin Amali in a short video quoted from PSSI's release on Tuesday, December 26.
First, jogging then physical training. Now entering tactics and engineering. I also saw that the goalkeeper's training was unusually heavy," continued Zainudin Amali.
The Indonesian national team has undergone TC in Antalya, Turkey since last Friday, December 22. This agenda was held in preparation for the 2023 Asian Cup which will be held in Qatar starting January 12, 2024.
With a tough agenda, Zainudin Amali felt that the heavy training menu prepared by Shin Tae-yong for his team was quite balanced so that the results in the 2023 Asian Cup could be maximized.
"But, I think we have to practice hard. The players have to work hard so that the results are maximum," said Zainudin.
One of our obstacles is physical and mental. Here coach Shin Tae-yong trains for their physical and mental strengths. I think the training menu in my opinion is enough," he added.
During the training camp in Turkey, the Indonesian national team will also hold two trials against Libya. The first test against Libya will be held on Tuesday, January 2 next week. Then the second Indonesian vs Libya test match in Turkey will be held on Friday, January 5.
After that, the Indonesian national team will depart from Turkey to Qatar to undergo final preparations ahead of the 2023 Asian Cup. Before competing in that condition, the Indonesian national team will undergo a trial against Iran on January 9 in Qatar.
