KISS' First Virtual Avatar Concert To Be Held 2027

JAKARTA - KISS confirmed that their first show using avatars will take place in 2027.

The band played their final physical show at Madison Square Garden on December 2, ending a world tour titled 'End Of The Road'.

In the concert, KISS announced that it would continue their career as virtual avatars, reportedly becoming the first US band to do this.

Kini, KISS membagikan klip teaser yang mengungkapkan kapan para penggemar dapat melihat avatar mereka tampil.

"50 years is a long time, and the future is in the process of being made," reads the statement, quoted from NME, Wednesday.

While the video contains words: 'A show is coming in 2027.'

Bassis Gene Simmons baru-baru ini mengatakan bahwa avatar tersebut akan jauh lebih baik dari yang pernah ada sebelumnya lantaran dana yang diinvestasi mencapai angka 200 juta dolar AS.

He also previously emphasized that this farewell tour was the 'end of the band's journey, not a brand'.

The avatar was reportedly created by George Lucas' company SFX, Industrial Light & Magic and teamed up with Pophouse Entertainment Group, which was founded with Bjoryun Ulvaeus of ABBA and is behind the Swedish pop group's Voyage avatar show.

However, KISS avatars will reportedly not look ABBA's sergist.

"We will find out after the tour," explained Pophouse CEO Per Sundin (via BBC). Will this be a future KISS concert? Is it an opera rock? Is it a musical? A story, an adventure?
