Ahead Of The Vice Presidential Debate, PDIP Says Mahfud Will Absorb Ganjar's Experience

JAKARTA - Ahead of the Second Debate of the Vice Presidential Candidate for the 2024 General Election, which was held by the Umun Election Commission (KPU), PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said Mahfud MD would absorb Ganjar Pranowo's experience as regional head.

Hasto said that based on a survey; 58.9 percent of the people expect all presidential and vice-presidential candidates to highlight the people's economy. According to Hasto, this has been controlled by Ganjar from his commitment to creating 17 million jobs.

In addition, Hasto claimed that Ganjar-Mahfud is the only pair of candidates who are committed to creating 7 percent economic growth in utilizing the demographic bonus to reach Indonesia Gold 2045.

Therefore, with his extensive experience, Ganjar-Mahfud is expected to provide an answer that is grounded but still visionary.

"How Prof MahfudMD in job creation will also use Pak Ganjar's success experience," said Hasto as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, December 22.

From Ganjar's revision, which states that the workforce is many of the graduates of SMK, vocational education will be a model in increasing the capacity and ability of Indonesian human beings, especially young people, to be trained as well as possible.

"Don't forget that the eradication of corruption, which is an icon of Prof. Mahfud, has implications for improving the quality of education, on creating broad employment opportunities for the people, and also improving the standard of people's lives," explained Hasto.

In addition, with the Sakti ID card program, one of the integrated cards for Indonesia, this is a commitment of innovative policies in reducing poverty.

"And with massive job creation, 17 million jobs, then Pak Ganjar, Prof. Mahfud will be able to provide the answers needed by the Indonesian people. So, we believe Prof. Mahfud will perform best," said Hasto.

The vice presidential debate has the theme of people's economy, digital economy, finance, investment, taxes, trade, management of the APBN and APBD, infrastructure, and urban areas.
