Sarabia's Remarks To Barca Players Are A New Commotion

JAKARTA - Covering your mouth with your hands when speaking in the middle of a match is really necessary. Not only for players, but also for the coaching staff. Recently, the words of Barcelona assistant coach Eder Sarabia caused quite a stir.

During the El Clasico match between Real Madrid and Barcelona which ended 2-0 for Los Blancos' win on Sunday, Sarabia was caught on camera by Movistar uttering harsh words. Footage showing Sarabia was released on Tuesday morning by El Golazo de GOL.

Sarabia seemed annoyed with Arthur Melo and Gerard Pique, and cursed when he saw Karim Benzema's action against Blaugrana defenders. "That's a piece of sh * t, Benzema does what comes out of his a **," said Sarabia.

"Sh * t, sh * t, what sh * t is that? F * cking long sh * t passes."

Coach Quique Setien revealed that the Barcelona coaching staff apologized to all parties regarding Sarabia's comments. This sparked a lot of discussion, both inside Barcelona and outside, but Setien was responsible for what happened.

"Of course we have spoken," Setien told El Periodico when asked about the impact of Sarabia's comments.

"He's worried too. We don't care about the situation. We're trying to find a solution. And he's working on it."

"We've made the apologies we need to make. And especially me because, in the end, it's my fault. I have to control these things," said Setien.

Setien admitted that the situation with Sarabia had greatly affected him. "It's a subject that worries me a lot. It's something that is very important to me. We can be criticized for making bad substitutions, for playing badly ... For anything, but not behavior."

Although Setien views Sarabia well, he admits that there are several aspects that he needs to improve on, areas his assistant is currently working on.

"Eder is a kid with a great temperament, which is great for a lot of things," said Setien. "But he must learn to control himself."

Setien continued, this is a problem that Sarabia is trying to fix. The reason is, the assistant is a young man who is impulsive and has a lot of energy and is very positive for many things.

"But we are on the bench for the club we represent and our behavior should be flawless," added substitute Ernesto Valverde.
