Timo Tjahjanto Will Remake Yeon Sang-ho's Film 'Train To Busan'
JAKARTA - Timo Tjahjanto will direct the remake of the film Train to Busan under the production of New Line.
Launching the Deadline today, Friday, February 19, the original version, directed by Yeon Sang-ho, is being contested by the production house. New Line won the competition and appointed an Indonesian director, Timo Tjahjanto.
Train to Busan is a film released in 2016 that tells the story of a chemical leak that causes a zombie epidemic to spread across South Korea. This film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and received international attention.
The original film Train to Busan also stars famous names such as Gong Yoo, Ma Dong Seok, Jung Yu Mi, Kim Eui Sung, Choi Woo Shik, and others.
Meanwhile, Timo Tjahjanto's progress in the world of directing is not new. Macabre, Killer, Headshot, and the most recent The Night Comes for Us made their name in the international arena. Known for several actions and horror genre films, fans can't wait to watch Train to Busan under his direction.
New Line has not announced details regarding the new version of Train to Busan.
