PLN Substation Submerged By Flood, 913 Houses In Jakarta And Surrounding Areas Still Out Of Power

JAKARTA - A total of four substations by the State Electricity Company (PLN) in DKI Jakarta has been flooded due to rain since last Thursday, February 18. This PLN substation is still submerged until 10:00 WIB.

Public Relations of PLN Disjaya, Dita Artsana, said that one substation has been able to function, while the other 3 substations are still out.

"Until now, 913 houses of PLN customers are still having power outages due to submerging of PLN substations. The percentage is 0.025 percent of the total 4,769,726 PLN Disjaya customers", said Dita in her statement, Friday, February 19.

The areas that are not yet lit are in East Jakarta and part of the Bekasi area. The details, namely in the area of Cipinan Bali, Cilinang Melayu, and Cilinang Bali 4.

Meanwhile, the electricity that has not been turned on in Bekasi is in the IKIP Lecturer Complex at Jatikramat District, Jalan Kalimalang, and Jalan Bintara Jaya II.

Dita continued, PLN will conduct a blackout if the customer's house is flooded or the electricity distribution substation is flooded.

"The normalization of electricity can be carried out after the installation is confirmed dry and there is a signing of an official report by the Neighborhood and Citizens Association (RT/ RW) management or local community leaders", she said.
