Flood Alert, Katulampa Weir Alert Status 3

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reports that the increase in the water level (TMP) status in Katulampa Dam is alert 3. The water level ranges from 100 cm.

The Twitter account of the DKI Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Service has also warned residents along the river to be aware of flooding. This was observed in a status update by BPBD as of 10.00 WIB which announced that the TMP at Sunter Hulu Water Gate reached 265 cm.

It was reported that a number of areas in DKI Jakarta were inundated by floods as a result of heavy rains that flushed from early morning until this morning. The flood height at one point even reaches 2 meters.

Floods also cut off traffic access at a number of points. Vehicle flow diversion activities were also carried out, even the tunnels on Jalan DI Panjaitan, Cawang were impassable due to floods as high as 20-40 centimeters.
