The Corruption Suspect In The Construction Of The Tarakan Culinary House Will Soon Be Tried
TARAKAN - The case of alleged corruption in the mark-up of the construction of a Kuliner City Without Slums (My City) belonging to the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) in Karang Rejo Village, Tarakan City, North Kalimantan (Kaltara) will soon be tried.
Two suspects with the initials (AS) and JR along with evidence were transferred to the Tarakan District Attorney (Kejari).
The head of the Tarakan Kejari, Adam Saimima through the Head of Intelligence, Harismand, revealed that apart from the two suspects, there were also evidence including RAB documents, LPJ and the memorandum of construction of the culinary house.
"The two cooperative suspects came to the Tarakan Kejari after receiving a summons dated December 15, 2023," he said, Tuesday, December 19.
The two suspects explained that they were working on a culinary house construction project that should have used a self-management work system. However, this activity is on a third party, right?
"In addition, there was an administrative error in the building project. JR is a sub-district engineering facilitator who accompanies the KSM (Community Organization Group) project. The US is the head of the KSM," he said.
The Attorney General's Office has examined 30 witnesses including expert witnesses examined in this case, namely engineering expert from Hasanuddin University, criminal expert from Borneo Tarakan University and expert from the Government Goods and Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP).
"The two suspects are currently serving a period of detention at the Tarakan Class II Prison for 20 days after stage 2 and will soon be transferred to the Samarinda Corruption Court on December 20, 2023," he explained.
The results of the coordination between the Tarakan Kejari investigators and the Tarakan City Regional Financial Inspectorate team. It was found that state losses reached Rp432,534,876.82 of the total development value of Rp1 billion.
The two suspects are suspected of being the primary indictment of Article 2 Paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 18 subsidiary Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Tipidkor Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended in Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph 1 of the First Criminal Code.
