Tottenham Pelonco Europa League Debut Team Wolfsberger 4-1

JAKARTA - Tottenham Hotspurs crushed the debutant team, Wolfsberger SC with a score of 4-1 in the first leg of the last 32 of the Europa League at the Puskas Arena Stadium, Budapest, Thursday local time.

The four goals scored by Spurs each were scored by Son Heung Min, Gareth Bale, Lucas Moura and Carlos Vinicius. While the only goal for Wolfsberger's consolation was recorded by Michael Liendl.

The victory was a valuable asset for The Lilywhites who will act as host in the second leg later. At least a draw at headquarters was enough to take the Spurs to the last 16.

Launched Antara, Tottenham displayed their dominance in the first half with 10 attempts released in which five of them aimed on target.

With just six minutes into the game, Son Heung Min almost opened the scoring, but his shot went wide.

Son's failure was paid for in cash by the South Korean as the game entered the 13th minute after he received a Bale pass and headed the ball at the far post where the goalkeeper could not save.

Seven minutes later, Dele Alli almost doubled the lead when his acceleration ended with a low strike which Wolfsberger keeper Alexander Kofler was able to block.

The second goal Tottenham was waiting for was born in the 28th minute when Bale's fierce strike on the right of the box was not pushed over by the goalkeeper and the ball slid smoothly into Kofler's goal.

After that opportunity, Wolfsberger almost narrowed the gap but Vizinger's header hit the crossbar and the ball was swept away by the Spurs' back line.

Lucas Moura buried Wolfsberger even more. Receiving Harry Winks bait, the Brazilian player had no trouble tearing the hosts' net for the third time.

In the second half, Bale almost scored his second goal, but the ball was pushed over by goalkeeper Wolfsberger.

Instead of adding to their lead, Tottenham had to be penalized by a penalty after Moussa Sissoko violated Wernitznig.

Michael Liendl who took the penalty execution managed to reduce the gap after outwitting Hugo Lloris.

Wernitznig again became a threat to Spurs after he was able to win the aerial duel with Lloris. But unfortunately Wernitznig's header hit the crossbar again.

Meanwhile, Tottenham, who have excelled, played pragmatically. They no longer insist on targeting additional goals and play the ball a lot in the middle area.

However, the team made by Jose Mourinho increased its lead to 4-1 at the end of the match. This time it was the turn of the player who entered the second half, Carlos Vinicius, who listed his name on the scoreboard.
