What Is The Value Of Land Acquisition From Pertamina That Can Make Tuban People Buy Cars?
JAKARTA - PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, a subsidiary of Pertamina, spoke up about land acquisition for an oil refinery construction project in Tuban Regency, covering an area of 21,410 meters which made residents of Sumurgeneng Village, Jenu District, suddenly become billionaires and bought cars.
PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional Subholding Refining & Petrochemical Corporate Secretary Ifki Sukarya said Pertamina did not intervene in the process of assessing land compensation for the Tuban Grass Root Refinery (GRR) project.
Ifki emphasized that the assessment was carried out by the Public Appraisal Service Office (KJPP) which was then determined by the Tuban National Land Agency (BPN).
"The value of land replacement refers to the results of the KJPP assessment independently and assisted by the local BPN", he told VOI, Thursday, February 18.
Not only that, Ifki also said that land acquisition was in accordance with the company's principles, namely, it did not harm the residents whose land was affected.
"We follow the rules of land acquisition provisions. In accordance with Law Number 2 of 2012 regarding land acquisition for development of public interests", he said.
But unfortunately, Ifki did not clearly state how much budget was spent by Pertamina for land acquisition to build the national project.
"Of course, the value (paid) varies. On average, residents own a large area of land. The larger the land area, automatically the greater the replacement money they receive", he said.
Furthermore, Ifki said that 99 percent of the land had been successfully acquired. With that, the US $ 15 billion projects got underway. He said, currently the project has entered the initial construction stage. In that stage, the contractor starts clearing the land.
"We only have 8 more lands that need to be cleared. That's all the consignment process", he said.
For your information, the Tuban Oil Refinery Project is one of the National Strategic Projects that the government has mandated to Pertamina. Later, this project will increase the oil processing capacity by 300 thousand barrels per day.
This project is also targeted to produce Euro V standard fuel in the form of gasoline around 80 thousand barrels per day, gas-oil around 100 thousand barrels per day, and Avtur around 30 thousand barrels per day.
It is planned that this project will be integrated with a petrochemical refinery producing 3,750 KTPA. With the presence of a refinery in Tuban, Pertamina is targeting future fuel needs to be met from domestic refineries so that imports can be reduced.
Previously, land acquisition for an oil refinery construction project in Sumurgeneng Village, Jenu District, Tuban Regency, covering an area of 21,410 square meters made the villagers suddenly become billionaires. This is because they received compensation from the land acquisition in the range of billions of rupiah.
"There are residents who receive compensation of up to IDR 26 billion, some receive IDR 9 billion. It depends on how much land is being compensated", said the Head of Sumurgeneng Village, Gianto, Wednesday, February 17.
Gianto said the residents who bought the car together came from a group of residents, the proceeds from land acquisition money. Local residents sell their land to Pertamina's oil refinery project, Grass Root Refinery (GRR) in 2020.
According to him, local residents receive payments of IDR 600 thousand-800 thousand per meter. Meanwhile, the number of affected residents reached 280. They agreed that their land would be sold for a national project.
According to Gianto, the number of cars bought by its residents was 176 units. "Yesterday's video circulated only 17 new cars, one house bought two to three new cars", he said.
