The clash that occurred on Thursday, March 5 was said to be the aftermath of the assault on an online motorcycle taxi with the origin of LA (29) by debt collectors the day before.
The clash began when debt collectors visited an online motorcycle taxi office for mediation with the aim of resolving existing problems. However, their arrival sparked the emotions of the online motorcycle taxis there, resulting in a misunderstanding.
Quoted from Kumparan, subsequent clashes occurred several times. However, the location has moved to the Babarsari area of Yogyakarta. The online motorcycle taxi groups clashed strongly with the masses who were suspected of being debt collectors.
As a result of the clash, an online motorcycle taxi driver suffered injuries and was then taken to the hospital for treatment. However, it is not certain the exact cause of the subsequent clashes.
Quoted from the official Twitter account of the DI Yogyakarta Regional Police, the police are collaborating with several related parties to resolve the dispute between the two parties. In addition, people who are involved or not are asked to refrain from spreading the conflict.
"The Yogyakarta Regional Police and other stakeholders are working on a solution to this problem, so all parties are asked to refrain," wrote the account @PoldaJogja.
