With A Fund Of 200 Million US Dollars, Gene Simmons Says KISS Virtual Avatars Will Be Much Cooler

KISS rock band bassist Gene Simmons said the band's virtual avatar would be much cooler than ever before.

In a report revealed by NME on Tuesday, about $200 million was invested to take the technology to the next level.

Earlier this month, KISS revealed their new era as a virtual band on their final farewell tour show.

The band stepped down from the world of concerts at Madison Square Garden on December 2 as part of the 'End of the Road' tour, where they revealed new digital avatars.

Simmons previously confirmed that the farewell tour was the band's end of the band's journey, not a brand.

The avatar was reportedly created by George Lucas' company SFX, Industrial Light & Magic and teamed up with Pophouse Entertainment Group, co-founded by Bjoryun Ulvaeus of ABBA and is behind the Swedish pop group's Voyage avatar show.

Simmons discussed the future of KISS avatars when he met fans at the Electric Lady studio in New York City after their last concert.

Speaking to one of the fans, he said KISS would be cooler in animated matters.

He continued: There are many things planned, even beyond my understanding. But they spent, oh, about 200 million [dollars] to take this to the next level. The musician also admitted to being impressed by the ABBA Voyage show in London. You can't know if they were there, right there, like that," Simmons said.
