Jakarta DPRD Members' Restlessness Regarding Bank DKI ATM Robbery
JAKARTA - Follow-up cases of burglary money at Bank DKI ATMs have moved hands from DKI Pemprov to the police. The Rp32 billion burglary case is currently in the investigation stage of Polda Metro Jaya.
The DKI Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) has sanctioned the perpetrators who are 12 members of the Jakarta Satpol PP. 10 people were officially dismissed, 2 others who are the State Civil Service (ASN) have not been dismissed because they are waiting for the determination of their status as suspects.
However, this dismissal was not satisfied enough for a member of the DPRD from the Gerindra faction, Purwanto. Purwanto will propose the formation of a special committee (special committee) to track and evaluate the management of Bank DKI.
"Suggested that members of the legislature investigate so that the problems at Bank DKI would be helped by investigations from the special committee, apart from the criminal elements (police)," said Purwanto when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, November 21.
According to Purwanto, this case was not only limited to the burglary of a bank's ATM, but also opened the veil. Apparently, there are problems in the banking system and weaknesses in the internal management of Bank DKI.
If left unchecked, the level of trust of the people of DKI and stakeholders in Bank DKI so far could just disappear.
"The problem is public trust, this is a financial institution that should be guaranteed the security of its customers. If it loses trust, it can be finished (bankrupt)," he said.
In fact, Purwanto's personal proposal has not yet been submitted to the DPRD leadership. Purwanto had not even spoken to the chairman of the Gerindra faction.
But according to him, Gerindra will approve the proposal to form a special committee for Bank DKI. Bearing in mind, they also feel that they have suffered a loss while being a customer of Bank DKI.
"I see my friends (Gerindra) are in line, because it seems that they are also at a disadvantage too," said Purwanto.
"As I experienced. Bank DKI account balances always decreased without my knowing and the deductions were odd, there were administrative costs, there were fees, etc. When I asked them, the answer was not satisfactory," he added.
In the previous report, 12 Satpol PP members who broke into the DKI Bank ATM initially made withdrawals at the ATM Bersama. They purposely blamed the ATM pin on the first try and the correct pin on the second try.
As a result, the money went out but the balance in the accounts of the 12 Satpol PP members did not decrease. The burglary was carried out for months around East and South Jakarta.
Chairman of the PDI-Perjuangan faction in the DPRD, Gembong Warsono, said this problem occurred because the security system of Bank DKI was still weak. "The system is not right. It is true (insufficient security)," said Gembong.
With this case, Gembong asked DKI Bank to immediately improve the security system. If it is allowed to continue, it will have an impact on the number of customers because they do not trust the security system they have.
Members of the PDI-P faction who are assigned to Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD have also been assigned to immediately summon the President Director of Bank DKI. They want to dig up information and accountability for assets owned by residents of DKI. Because according to him, Bank DKI is an asset for the citizens of the Capital City.
"The PDIP faction has asked my friends in Commission B to summon the Managing Director of Bank DKI to hold him accountable. Until the assets of the Provincial Government can be taken by DKI employees, this is extraordinary," said Gembong.
Even so, Bank DKI Corporate Secretary Herry Djufraini confirmed that the cases that occurred were not related to the funds of DKI bank customers. He also emphasized that DKI bank operations are running normally.
"Banking services and operational activities continue to run normally. Regarding this problem, since the beginning we have coordinated with related agencies," he said.
