Google Will Update 'Stop Subscription' Button On Gmail Website
JAKARTA Since 2014, Google has added the Stop Subscription feature in Gmail. Although it is quite useful to stop spam, this feature still makes it difficult for users.
The reason is, all Gmail users must open promotional emails one by one and scroll the screen to the bottom. Usually, the Subscription Stop button comes with a small size and does not stand out.
The shape of a button like this is still difficult to find so users are lazy to stop promotional emails one by one. However, this button will no longer be an obstacle for users because Google will update it soon.
Based on the findings of 9to5google, the Subscription Stop button on the website will be available at the top of the email. This button will be placed next to the sender's name and email. This means that users no longer need to scroll the screen to search for the button.
Interestingly, the size and color of this Subscription Stop button will change. Usually, the Subscription Stop button looks like regular gray text underline. However, in the latest version, this button will look bigger with blue text.

When the button without an underline is tapped, a pop-up containing confirmation will appear. Gmail users can immediately stop subscribing without needing to be directed to a website. This method is certainly more instant than the previous view.
Apart from appearing next to the sender's name and email, this button will also appear on the inbox page, precisely in the Archives, Delete, and other icons. Although the way it works has not been explained, it is likely that this button can stop spam without the need to open an email.
It should be reminded again that the Subscription Stop button to be updated is a button on the website. Although an update from this feature has been found, Google has not announced when they will change the design of this feature.
