OIKN Receives 328 Investment Initial Commitments, Domestic Investors Still Dominate
The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) received 328 Letter of Intent (LoI) or an initial commitment to invest in IKN Nusantara.
OIKN Deputy for Funding and Investment Agung Wicaksono said, of this total, around 45 percent came from foreign investors.
"The total is 328 LoI, 328 if asked most of them are still domestic (investors), but there are 45 percent (investors) who are interested," Agung said in the OIKN briefing media which was held online on Friday, December 15.
Agung did not deny that domestic investors who have a high enough interest in building at IKN.
"According to the directives, we prioritize domestic ones. This means that we see that most of those who enter are domestic," he said.
According to him, the projects that will be built by domestic investors are in line with the basic ecosystem needed by IKN.
"(Investors) are processed and can simultaneously (filling) the ecosystem on the national axis, which is domestic," said Agung.
Until now, there have been two groundbreakings for private investors at IKN that have been going on for two periods, namely stages 1 and 2.
Groundbreaking phase 1 will take place in September 2023, while stage 2 will be held 1-3 November 2023.
Now, the total investment value that has been included in the IKN project has reached around Rp35 trillion.
Meanwhile, in December 2023, a groundbreaking will be carried out again for the third stage, with an investment target of IDR 10 trillion.
