Anies Introduces Social Assistance Plus Program, Claims Of Benefits And Recipients Will Increase
Presidential candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan announced the Social Assistance Plus program that will be run if elected president in 2024.
"We introduce, the social assistance program plus, so we will increase the current social assistance program. Plus what? Plus the benefits, plus the recipients, and plus the services," said Anies while campaigning in Pekanbaru, Riau, Wednesday, December 13.
According to Anies, the social assistance distribution program that has been run in the government of President Joko Widodo needs to be improved in quality.
If he and Muhaimin Iskandar win the 2024 presidential election, Anies claims that the distribution of the ongoing social assistance will continue, with improvements.
"We will make sure that those who have not received it, then they can receive it. Because there are still many complaints from residents who should receive it, but not yet," said Anies.
"Then the type of service. We want the service to be faster, then also additional services that are supporting in nature so that social assistance recipients can immediately advance to class," he added.
During his visit to Kampung Bata or Kampung Binjai today, Anies also reviewed the process of making bricks to review the condition of Kampung Bata whose infrastructure has not yet been considered by the state.
"The change in the future is to prioritize meeting basic needs, building not only large infrastructure but micro infrastructure, what is it? For example, drinking water facilities, village roads and others," said the former governor of DKI Jakarta.
On the other hand, Anies promised to advance the village without displacing it, where there are several points that will be prioritized, including: The village is beautified, the village budget is increased, the puskesmas and posyandu are made more proactive, and residents are invited to actively participate in village development.
"We will do it so that the villages feel progress, not inferior to other urban areas, therefore we want to pay more attention to the village regarding the fulfillment of its basic infrastructure," he added.
