KAI Provides 2.7 Million Tickets For Nataru, Only Sold 36.77 Percent
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api (Persero) or KAI noted that long-distance train tickets for the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year (Nataru) periods had only sold 36.77 percent of the total provided, namely 2.7 million.
The ticket was sold as of Wednesday, December 13. KAI itself stipulates that the Christmas and New Year's Transport (Nataru) will take place from December 21, 2023 to January 7, 2024.
"Based on data on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 07.00 WIB. Tickets sold were 1,010,847 tickets or 36.77 percent of the total tickets provided, namely 2,749,180 long-distance, medium and local train tickets managed by KAI," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, December 13.
The details, continued Joni, are executive class 238,456 tickets sold from the capacity of 834,042 available seats. Then, business class 29,989 tickets were sold out of a capacity of 126,968 seats. Then, economic class 742,402 tickets from a capacity of 1,788,170 seats.
Joni said the number of tickets sold would continue to increase considering ticket sales are still ongoing.
Furthermore, Joni said, the public can already buy regular long-distance train tickets that are available in the Access by KAI application, the kai.id website, minimarkets, and all train ticket purchase channels starting from H-45.
Ticket purchases at the station counters are only available for train departures starting 3 hours or going show.
"People can immediately book tickets because the Nataru River train tickets are still quite widely available," he said.
