Hasto Kristiyanto: Banten Is Very Important For Ganjar Mahfud's Victory

JAKARTA - PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said Banten was one of the areas that was very important to determine the victory of the presidential and vice presidential candidate (candidate-cawapres) number 3 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.

"Yes, because we see a very important Banten area. (Year) 2014, we became chairman of the DPRD in Banten Province, so there is a big chance, and now there is the head of the winning team led by Rano Karno, a very popular figure and in the hearts of the people. So, we picked up the ball for Pak Ganjar and Pak Mahfud's victory," said Hasto in a statement received in Jakarta, Sunday.

The PDI-P Central Executive Board (DPP) conducted political safaris to several areas in Banten.

The Secretary of the Ganjar-Mahfud National Winning Team (TPN) added that the political safari carried out by the PDI-P on Sunday was aimed at making political party cadres bearing the symbol of the white-nosed bull even more enthusiastic about winning Ganjar-Mahfud in Banten.

"This is intended to inflame the fighting spirit of all PDI-P sympathizers and cadres, starting from Lebak, Pandeglang, Serang," explained Hasto.

Hasto said that all party cadres, namely the PDI-P, the United Development Party (PPP), the Hanura Party, and Perindo, so that supporting volunteers have solidly moved to win Ganjar-Mahfud.

"Then Pak Sandiaga Uno, Mrs. Siti Atikoh, Alam Ganjar Pranowo, Mr. Andika Perkasa, Mr. Gatot; so all teams moved. Then Mr. Arsjad also continued to take consolidation steps against national actors and entrepreneurs as well as MSMEs to one breath win Ganjar-Mahfud," said Hasto.

The General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia on Monday, November 13, 2023, determined three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates to participate in the 2024 presidential election.

Based on the results of the draw and determination of the number of participants in the 2024 presidential election on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, the pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar received serial number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD number 3.

The KPU has also set a campaign period from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, while the voting schedule is on February 14, 2024.
