It Was Revealed That The Robber's Mode Was Under The Guise Of A Travel Car Provider In Padang, The Victim Was A Hadith Subject Teacher
JAKARTA - The police have arrested two of the four suspects who committed a robbery case under the guise of providing car travel services in Padang, West Sumatra (West Sumatra).
"We have now detained IL (35), one of the women suspected of being part of a gang of robbers using a travel car service provider mode," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Koto Tangah Police, Ipda Mardianto, in Padang, as reported by Antara, Thursday, February 18.
He was arrested while at his rented house in the Durian Taruang area, Kuranji District, Padang City, on Tuesday morning.
The suspect, who works as an online motorcycle taxi driver on a daily basis, was detained at the Koto Tangah Police Headquarters cell along with evidence.
When interrogated, the suspect admitted to playing the role of the person who withdrew the victim's money to the BRI ATM in the Air Pacah area of Rp. 10 million.
"From the results of his actions, he received a wage from the main actor of Rp. 4 million," he said.
Mardianto explained that IL's arrest began with the statement of the main perpetrator MM (35) who had been arrested earlier by the Koto Tangah Police with Batang Anai Police personnel.
MM, who is suspected of being the mastermind behind the perpetrator and acting as a driver, was arrested by the police in the Salimpaung area, Tanah Datar Regency on Friday, February 12.
Armed with this information, finally the Koto Tangah Police Opsnal Reskrim team conducted an investigation until finally they succeeded in arresting IL.
"The perpetrator was in his rented house and was immediately secured without a fight," he said.
By arresting the two suspects, currently there are two other perpetrators who were involved in the robbery.
Meanwhile the suspect MM is currently in the detention cell of the Batang Anai Police because he was also involved in the same case in the jurisdiction of the Batang Anai Police.
Previously, the victim of the incident was a teacher of Al Quran and Hadith subjects at MAN 1 Padang Pariaman named Nurlela (44).
He became the victim of a robbery after boarding the travel car used by the suspects on Tuesday, February 2.
The victim, who was a resident of Kamela Permai II Housing, Pasia Nan Tigo Village, Koto Tangah District, was about to go to teach.
He used to ride land transportation every 06.00 WIB waiting for a car around the Simpang Pasir Jambak area.
Then came the silver Avanza minibus which the victim believed to be a travel agent, he did not suspect that there were two other passengers in the car.
The victim did not realize that the people in the car were a gang and were only pretending to be passengers on the travel car.
While on the way, the victim was immediately locked up by the perpetrator who sat on the back, and even ended up being mistreated.
The suspects took the victim's belongings and then dropped him off in the By Pass area, Air Pacah.
The gang of robbers took a number of belongings of the victim in the form of cash, mobile phones, gold rings to the contents of savings.
