PSI Celebrates 9th Anniversary In Semarang, Thousands Of Cadres Present

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) held the peak commemoration of its 9th anniversary at the Jatidiri Stadium in Semarang, Central Java, Saturday (9/12/2023), attended by thousands of cadres from various regions.

A large stage has been prepared in the middle of the stadium which will be filled with various performers to enliven the anniversary which is packaged with the theme "Dendang Sayang PSI Wins".

PSI Deputy Chairperson of the DPP Andy Budiman explained that Semarang City was chosen as the location for the celebration of PSI's 9th Anniversary because it has strategic value for Indonesia.

"Semarang is an important city. Forts of diversity, forts of nationalists, forts of moderate Islam. The people are Indonesian miniatures that vary and live side by side," he said as quoted by Antara.

According to him, the city of Semarang has a rich cultural heritage and has become a symbol of Indonesia's diversity with people from various ethnicities, religions and cultures that coexist with peace.

"PSI has since the beginning fought for the formation of an open and tolerant society. Semarang is the best example," said Andy, who is also a candidate for the Indonesian House of Representatives from PSI for the Electoral Region of Central Java I.

Andy explained that the main activity at PSI's 9th Anniversary celebration was a speech from PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep and presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto who were scheduled to attend.

"The main agenda is a message of affection from Mas Ketum Kaesang and Presidential Candidate Mr. Prabowo Subianto," he said accompanied by PSI Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees Grace Natalie.

In addition, there were performances from a number of celebrities, such as Alffy Rev and Obbie & Friends, as well as PSI cadre celebrities, namely Giring Ganesha, Badai ex Kerispatih, and Comica 84.

The activity was opened with prayers from six religions, then continued with musical performances. There were PSI officials, such as PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep, Secretary General of Raja Juli Antoni, and Helmy Yahya Advisory Board.
