KKP Director Reveals WhatsApp Group 'Lobster Business', Contains Edhy Prabowo's Team
JAKARTA - Director of Fish Resources Management of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Trian Yunanda alluded to the sudden formation of a Due Diligence Team by Edhy Prabowo. Even the team's communication via the WhatsApp group was called the 'lobster business'.
The explanation regarding the formation of this team began when the public prosecutor (JPU) questioned the difference between the Due Diligence team and the Fish Resources Management Directorate.
However, Trian admitted that he did not know the details about this. According to him, there is no mandate in the 2020 Ministerial Decree (Kepmen) regarding the formation of the team.
"There is no mandate to form a dilligence team, I do not know why the team was formed," Trian said during a trial at the Corruption Court, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, February 17.
Trian emphasized that the information on the formation of the team was obtained from parties outside the KKP. At that time, he was contacted by the former Director General of Capture Fisheries to explain the matter.
"I also knew the due diligence team from outside, namely the former Director General of Capture Fisheries, Mr. Dedy Sutisna, he asked me, 'How come there is a due diligence team and why is it not organic?' I said at that time I didn't know, "said Trian.
In addition, communication within the team regarding the arrangement of export permits for lobster clear seeds (BBL) was carried out through the Whatsapp group which was named "lobster business".
"On its way there was a WhatsApp group that was formed called the lobster business, where the due diligence team included echelons 2, 3, 4 and several staff members who communicated and coordinated the wa group," he said.
The due diligence team implemented the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Regulation No. 12 / PERMEN-KP / 2020 concerning the Management of Lobster, Crab and Crab in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, which, among other things, allows the cultivation and export of fry.
