Women In Bone Steal Money From Mosque Charity Box, The Money Is To Pay Debt

MAKASSAR - Bone District Police, South Sulawesi arrested a woman after stealing money in a charity box at a mosque.

Head of Criminal Investigator Police Unit Bone, AKP Ardy Yusuf, said the theft was carried out by the perpetrator who entered the mosque terrace where the charity box was stored.

The perpetrator then brought the charity box into the mosque toilet. The glass of the charity box was broken using a crowbar.

"After the perpetrator broke the glass of the charity box, the perpetrator took the money in the charity box. The perpetrator put the charity box back in the place before", said AKP Ardy to reporters, Wednesday, February 17.

This incident occurred at the Jami Al 'Mujahidin Mosque, Padaelo Village, Kajuara District, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi, Saturday, February 13th night. The charity box in the mosque has been stolen twice.

"The loss suffered by the Jami Al 'Mujahidin mosque management is around IDR 300 thousand", he said.

The woman who was arrested by the police admitted her actions. The total amount of money stolen by the perpetrator was IDR 120 thousand to pay off debts.

"The perpetrator along with the evidence that was secured in the form of a motorcycle, at the Kajuara Police Headquarters for further legal proceedings", said AKP Ardy.
