Hilarious, Thinking Of A Warung, This Family Order Meals At The House Of People Holding Thanksgiving
JAKARTA - A teacher in Malaysia, Azam Mahat, endured embarrassment when he and his family ordered food at a resident's house. It turned out that the house was not a food stall, but was holding a thanksgiving event.
Initially, Azab and his wife, two children, and father were on vacation in the Trengganu area, East Coast on January 1, 2021. On the way to the inn, Azam saw a crowd of people queuing to eat at a house.
"I told my wife, 'surely the food there is delicious, until people queue to eat there. Tomorrow we try to eat there'," said Azam, quoted by VOI from mStar on Wednesday, February 17.
The next day, Azam returned through the crowded location. They decided to stop by and order food at what he thought was a food stall. When he got there, Azam saw the chairs and tables arranged like a food stall.
"We entered the shop. My children continued to sit at the table. There were several dishes on offer. There were chicken sprinkles, curried goat, chili etok. In my heart, it looks delicious," he said.
Suddenly, a mother approached the table occupied by Azam and his family. The mother offers him plain tea which he brings in a teapot. The mother again offered hot water. "He said that if we need hot water, the housemaid will prepare it," he said.
Not sure what the host said, he ventured to ask whether the place was a food stall or not. The host replied that the house was holding a thanksgiving event.
Suddenly he was too embarrassed. Prior to that incident, he had also had time to read news of a similar situation. He did not expect it to be experienced by him and his family.
"Ashamed is absurd. And we immediately apologized and wanted to say goodbye. However, they blocked it. They said, what's wrong with it, it's already sustained," said Azam.
Unexpectedly, the host even spooned the side dishes into Azam's children's plates. At first, Azam's family was embarrassed because he had a wrong idea. However, seeing the hospitality of the host, finally Azam and his family ate their meal.
After tasting a number of dishes, Azam and his family admitted that the host's cooking was indeed delicious. In fact, his son had wanted to add more. "But I replied, 'don't make your father more embarrassed, son'," he added.
