Zulhas Reveals Permendag Number 31 Of 2023 Also Encourages MSMEs To Go Digital
JAKARTA - Indonesian Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) assessed that the launch of the National Strategy for Digital Economy Development 2023 was a concrete step for the government in establishing the acceleration of digital transformation in the development of the digital economy as a strategic pillar in realizing the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision.
"The Coordinating Minister (Airlangga) said that we are the best in ASEAN, the directions and stages are clear. If we follow the guidelines, God willing, we can be faster than ASEAN countries and maybe even become the best country in the world," said Zulhas at the launch of the White Book. Zulhas conveyed that this White Book can be a strategic guideline for the Ministry of Agriculture/Institutions and other stakeholders in facing the challenges of the digital economy in the future and is a concrete step to accelerate digital transformation to achieve the integratedness of national digital services, including in terms of trade.
"The keywords are collaboration. Digital cooperation and adaptation are the key words in facing today's trade challenges. We believe that collaboration with all parties and through forums like this can produce a joint commitment to advancing Indonesia's digital ecosystem which is beneficial for all levels of society," he explained.
Zulhas conveyed one of the Ministry of Trade's strategies in managing the trade ecosystem through Permendag No. 31 of 2023 concerning licensing for advertising, coaching, and supervision of business and trade actors through electronic systems.

Meanwhile, Zulhas conveyed that this memandag also supports the empowerment of MSMEs and domestic e-commerce business actors and increases consumer protection.
Furthermore, he conveyed another strategy, namely increasing the competitiveness of business actors, especially MSMEs, for boarding on e-commerce platforms so that they can compete in local and international markets.
"The point is that we arrange for social commerce or e-commerce to support Indonesia's economic growth, it can be a support for MSMEs and our industry to dominate local and global markets," he said.
