Indonesia Signs Collaboration With Singapore Bidding For The 2025 U-20 World Cup
JAKARTA - Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga (Menpora), Dito Ariotedjo, memastikan Indonesia sudah teken kerja sama dengan Singapura ihwal bidding tuan bersama untuk Piala Dunia FIFA U-20 2025.
The signing of the cooperation was carried out between the All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) and the Singapore Football Federation (FAS).
"So, the stage that has been carried out today is the signature of cooperation between PSSI and FAS. After that, it will be continued (with the delivery of) letter of intent to FIFA," said Dito in Jakarta, Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
This Letter of intent is still an assessment. There is still a follow-up process after that including an agreement between the two countries before continuing the official bidding to FIFA.
The Minister of Youth and Sports said that currently Indonesia and Singapore continue to coordinate to finalize all preparations.

"So, now we are waiting for the Singaporean Menpora because it was only yesterday afternoon (December 4, 2023) between the Singapore federation and the Singaporean Ministry of Sports at a visibility meeting," he said.
"There will definitely be an official agreement between the government and the government after that as usual to return to the FIFA bidding," he added.
Indonesia itself has just finished hosting the 2023 U-17 World Cup. The holding of this event took place in four different cities, namely Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, and Surakarta.
Previously, Indonesia had been appointed to host the U-20 World Cup. However, the event was canceled here due to rejection of the Israeli national team.
