Three Concerts Canceled By The DKI Provincial Government
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has decided to suspend licensing for three music concerts that will be held in the future. As long as the sign listing for music concerts and art performances is suspended, such temporary performances may not be held.
Head of the One Stop Investment and Integrated Service (PTSP) Service, Benny Agus Chandra, said the concert was postponed during the period of handling the spread of the COVID-19 (corona) virus. The reason is, until now there have been two Indonesian citizens who have tested positive for the corona virus. Meanwhile, there are already hundreds of people who are still under surveillance (suspect) corona.
"For the sign of the temporary show list, we have already suspended three (concert events), namely Head in The Clouds, Baby Metal, and Foals Live in Jakarta," Benny said when contacted, Wednesday, March 4.
The postponement of other concert permits, said Benny, is still being collected and it is possible that it will increase. The suspension of permits was carried out for activities from March to April 2020. "After April, we will see the conditions. Hopefully preventive measures can be effective, so that after April conditions improve and are conducive and the suspension can be lifted," said Benny.
Apart from that, the DKI Provincial Government has also prohibited activities to permit the use of parks, cemeteries and green lines for competitions, bazaars, festivals, campgrounds, and film shooting. "The temporary suspension of licensing services and implemented until the non-licensing time limit which has not been determined," he said.
Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan did not want to issue a crowd permit for the event that will be held in Jakarta in the future. However, if they already have the permit, Anies asks the organizers to review their activities.
"The provincial government will not issue new licenses for the activities of large groups of people. And those who have already issued their permits will be reviewed again," said Anies, Monday, March 2.
In addition, Anies asked the public to avoid the places that were the beginning of the spread of the corona virus. One of the locations disclosed is Paloma Bistro, Menteng, Central Jakarta. This location was alluded to by Health Minister Terawan Agus Putranto, yesterday. Terawan said, the Indonesian patient contracted the corona virus from a Japanese citizen at the dance club.
"So, we also appeal to the public, for one thing, not to travel to locations that have been declared infected, avoid those places," said Anies.
Not only that, Anies asked people with declining health and experiencing symptoms of the same disease as the COVID-19 virus not to come to the location of health facilities.
Anies said it was better for them to call the DKI alert number, which is 112 or 119. From that telephone connection, residents could explain the symptoms of their illness, before finally it was decided to take medication.
"Do not go straight to health facilities. Why? If you come yourself, you will find positive (corona), on the way the potential for infection will depart. So, wherever you live, we will pick you up," said Anies.
