Not In Accordance With The Standards Until The Home Of The Cianjur Earthquake Survivor Is Damaged, The Regent Asks Entrepreneurs To Be Responsible
CIANJUR - The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Cianjur, West Java, noted that the Earthquake Resistant House (RTG) built for earthquake survivors in Cianjur did not comply with the standards so many were damaged. Entrepreneurs who become third parties are asked to be responsible for making improvements.Cianjur Regent Herman Suherman said, apart from direct reports from survivors, his party also received reports from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) regarding the non-standard RTG that was built by third parties."We are still waiting for the complete data from the Ministry of PUPR, but it is estimated that more than 50 percent are not standard or eligible for RTG built by third parties or independently, because they take more profit," he said in Cianjur, quoted from Antara, Monday, December 4.The results of the examination by the Ministry of PUPR also found that the house for survivors of the Cianjur earthquake was uninhabitable, did not use earthquake-resistant standards, including those built independently.Various factors that cause quality to not meet standards. For example, continued Herman Suherman, taking advantages are too big from third parties or from owners who rebuild their homes independently."We ask third parties or those who are building independently to immediately make improvements to ensure that the RTG is in accordance with standards. Do not let the new house earthquake collapse again, although we do not expect the earthquake to shake Cianjur again," he said.Meanwhile, earthquake survivors in Cibulakan Village, Cugenang District, Samin (43), who had just returned to his home after being built by a third party, said the house was damaged, especially on walls and roofs along with the high rainfall that has fallen since the last month."We haven't occupied the house that was built by a third party because we want to hurry, it's still a long time to finish, so we just want to be occupied, it's broken in the peeling wall and the leaking roof," said Samin.
He explained that more than 20 houses built by third parties with poor quality and did not meet the standards of the Ministry of PUPR. In fact, he said, before being occupied again, they were damaged on the walls and roofs of buildings from mild steel flying by the wind."We ask third parties or commonly called applicators to be responsible, because they are afraid that an earthquake will occur again, the houses we live in suddenly collapse because the construction is not standard earthquake-resistant," he said.
