AirAsia Delays Domestic Flight Relocation To Terminal 2 Soetta

JAKARTA - Indonesian airline AirAsia has postponed the plan to relocate all domestic flights to Terminal 2 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta), Tangerang, Banten, which was previously scheduled for December 6, 2023.

Currently, all domestic flights of Indonesia AirAsia will continue to operate at Terminal 1A.

"We are delaying this to ensure readiness and comfort in providing the best travel experience to all Indonesian AirAsia passengers who travel domestically," said Indonesian Operations Director AirAsiaWuri Septiawan as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, December 2.

He said the postponement of the relocation plan was also carried out to maintain the quality of Indonesia AirAsia's services and to maintain the trust of passengers who often travel domestically through Soetta Airport.

Indonesia AirAsia also advises all prospective passengers to check emails and SMS to get notifications related to flight schedules and check-ins and re-print the boarding pass through the airasia MOVE (formerly airasia Superapp) application or the airasia.com site.

"For information regarding the location and transportation options to and from Terminal 1A, visit the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport website at Soekarnohatta-airport.co.id," he said.

Previously in a press statement on Wednesday (29/11), Indonesia AirAsia informed that it would move all domestic flights to Terminal 2, doors 1 and 2 at Soetta Airport starting December 6, 2023.

President Director of Indonesia AirAsia Veranita Yosephine said that the transfer of Indonesian AirAsia flights to Terminal 2 aims to provide and maintain the best service quality for all AirAsia customers in Indonesia.

"Terminal 2 was chosen as a new location to ensure a more efficient and best travel experience for our loyal passengers. Especially to increase passenger comfort during international and domestic flight interconnections," Veranita said at the time.

Meanwhile, flights with international routes have not changed and are still operating at Terminal 2F of Soetta Airport.
