People Can Save IDR 250,000 Expenditures Per Month If They Use Electric Motorcycles, Interested?
JAKARTA - Expert Staff of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Sripeni Inten Cahyani said that people can save up to IDR 3 million per year if they switch to using electric motors.
As an illustration, said Sripeni, motorbikes with a distance of 40 kilometers (km) need 1 liter of fuel, while electric motorcycles with the same distance spend 1.2 kilowatt hour (kWh).
"Pertalite is Rp. 10,000, while electricity per 1.2 KWh is only Rp. 1,800. This means that it can save Rp. 8,200, which in total meets Rp. 250,000 a month," he said in a discussion 'Delaying Electric Vehicle Ecosystem Regulations', Wednesday, November 29.
Therefore, Sripeni invites the public to immediately switch to electric motorcycles.
Moreover, he continued, the government will increase the amount of incentives from IDR 7 million to IDR 10 million per unit.
The public will be able to pay a battery replacement fee of Rp. 6 million which can be paid in installments at 0 percent interest.
He added that the rules for adding incentives for electric motors have entered the harmonization stage.
"Using the exchange battery, it will be free because Rp. 6 million is the price of the battery. Meanwhile, those who pay Rp. 6 million are for the planting battery," concluded Sripeni.
