Prevent Hacking Cases Ahead Of The 2024 Presidential Election, TPN Ganjar-Mahfud Asks These 3 Institutions To Be Strengthened

JAKARTA - Deputy for Politics 5.0 of the Ganjar-Mahfud Winning Team asked the General Elections Commission (KPU), the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo), as well as the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) to communicate and strengthen coordination. The goal is to tackle cyber attacks.

This was conveyed after observing the leak and buying and selling of personal data of 200 million Indonesians. Andi said, strengthening these three institutions must be done to ensure that the 2024 presidential election runs well.

"We emphasize the communication between the KPU, Kominfo and BSSN to be really strengthened so that cases of hacking like this can be immediately overcome and ensured that they are prevented to ensure the election runs well," Andi said in a written statement, Wednesday, November 29.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of TPN Ganjar-Mahfud, Andika Perkasa, a cyberattack that occurred, made him ask questions about the prevention that had been taken by the KPU. Do not let the data that has been taken then intervene in the KPU's decision.

"Especially related to digital. Because this is clearly in the hands of people who are not entitled so we have to get confidence from the KPU to be able to explain what troubleshooting is done by people who are not entitled and this is impossible to interfere with the election results later," he said.

The KPU has again been the target of cyber attacks recently. The perpetrator with an anonymous account namedtengas sold more than 200 million voter data for Rp1.2 billion or US$74 thousand.
