Bobby Nasution Adds Honorary Teacher Incentives For Public And Private Schools
Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution added incentives through teacher welfare assistance for thousands of public and private school honorary teachers in Medan City, North Sumatra.
"This additional honorarium will take effect from 2024. It will increase from IDR 250 thousand to IDR 400 thousand," Bobby said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 29.
So far, he said, honorary teachers within the Medan City Government consist of PAUD/TK, SD, and SMP teachers who receive additional incentives or income outside of salary of Rp. 250 thousand per month.
The mayor confirmed that starting January 2024, thousands of honorary teachers, both public and private schools in the capital city of North Sumatra Province, will be IDR 400 thousand per month.
Bobby also emphasized that the disbursement of the payment of teacher welfare assistance in Medan City is carried out every month, and not every three months next year.
Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution has confirmed this when he led the commemoration ceremony for the Medan City Level National Teacher's Day 2023 at the Medan Exemplary Stadium, Saturday (25/11).
"I ask for assistance in the welfare of this honorary teacher to be distributed every end of the month, not once every three months," said Kahiyang Ayu's husband.

Head of the Medan City Education and Culture Office, Benny Sinamba Siregar, confirmed the addition of incentives for public and private school honorary teachers.
"It is true, God willing, in 2024 the teacher's welfare assistance will be increased by the mayor. From Rp. 250 thousand to Rp. 400 thousand per month," he said.
According to him, every public and private honorary teacher under the auspices of the Medan City Education and Culture Office, namely elementary and junior high school teachers, gets a basic salary from their respective schools.
Meanwhile, the incentives or additional assistance for the welfare of teachers that will be raised by the Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution, are called teacher welfare assistance.
"The guardian has also instructed us that the payment is made every month, not every three months like before," said Benny.
