DKI Disseminates 5.0 Digital Transformation Program

JAKARTA - Bank DKI explained the digital transformation program 5.0 during its role as a regional development bank (BPD) belonging to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

Bank DKI Corporate Secretary Arie Rinaldi outlined the implementation of this digital transformation including business transformation, good governance, reliable digital innovation, and strong risk management.

According to him, digital transformation programs are the key and strategy to achieving banking success in a sustainable manner.

"The digital transformation initiative carried out by Bank DKI, in addition to aiming to expand financial access for the community and increase added value on products and services, is also aimed at strengthening partnerships with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government as a shareholder," Arie told reporters, Wednesday, November 29.

In recent years, Arie said digitalization has become a major milestone for Bank DKI in its business development strategy as an effort to provide faster and more efficient banking services.

With a successful transformation, Bank DKI is ready to become a milestone for the DKI Provincial Government in achieving all vision and mission in the future.

"This involves supporting various programs of DKI Jakarta Province as support in realizing Jakarta as a global city," said Arie.

On the one hand, Bank DKI recorded growth in lending during the third quarter of 2023. As of September 2023, Bank DKI's lending grew by 6.90 percent to Rp49.96 trillion, from the previous Rp46.73 trillion in September 2022.

Romy said credit growth was mainly driven by the retail segment which grew by 68.66 percent to Rp1.66 trillion in September 2023, from the position of Rp986.30 billion in September 2022.

"Credit and financing growth is in line with a consistent business strategy in the potential segment, with the main focus of increasing portfolios in the MSME segment in line with the company's vision and mission," he explained.

Furthermore, micro credit also showed good performance with a growth of 42.86 percent to Rp3.27 trillion in September 2023, from the position of Rp2.29 trillion in September 2022.

The growth of the micro and retail segments has pushed the increase in the credit ratio of Bank DKI MSMEs as of September 2023 to 9.87 percent from previously recorded at 7.00 percent in September 2022.

In addition, consumer credit recorded positive growth or 13.64 percent to IDR 21.58 trillion in September 2023, from IDR 18.99 trillion in September 2022.

Furthermore, larger-scale lending was carried out selectively by Bank DKI, such as syndicated loans which grew 10.91 percent to Rp6.53 trillion in September 2023, from the position of Rp5.89 trillion in September 2022.

Meanwhile, the distribution of the commercial credit segment including the term loan in September 2023 reached IDR 15.54 trillion, while medium credit was reached at IDR 1.37 trillion in September 2023.

Bank DKI also collected Third Party Fund growth to IDR 63.66 trillion in September 2023, or grew by 4.45 percent from the previous IDR 60.94 trillion in September 2022.

This coverage boosted total asset growth by 3.99 percent from the original IDR 75.24 trillion as of September 2022, to IDR 78.24 trillion as of September 2023, as I recorded a profit of IDR 693.27 billion in the same period.
