Prabowo Addresses Jokowi On Campaign Day One, TKN: State Officials Must Apply For Leave
JAKARTA - Deputy Commander of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Herman Khaeron, opened his voice about Presidential Candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto who met President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Bogor Palace on the first day of yesterday's campaign.
According to Herman, as minister of defense, Prabowo must of course apply for leave to participate in activities related to the 2024 presidential election contestation. Likewise with Cawpares Gibran, who is still serving as mayor of Solo.
"If the state official participates in the contest, he must take time off during his term of office. Therefore, it must first be applied for leave, both Mr. Prabowo and Mr. Gibran," said Herman, Wednesday, November 29.
The Head of BPOKK of the Democratic Party understands that other candidates are more flexible in campaigning immediately. This is because the two other presidential candidates are no longer active as state officials.
"But Mr. Prabowo, Mas Gibran, of course, is still carrying out his state duties. In the end, we have to leave, we must comply with the rules set by the election organizers and the law," explained Herman.
