Prabowo Is Still In Office On The Second Day Of Campaign
JAKARTA - Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto still has not taken leave and remains in office as usual in carrying out his duties as Minister of Defense (Menhan) on the second day of the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) campaign.
Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Defense Brigadier General TNI Edwin Adrian Sumantha said Defense Minister Prabowo had an office as usual in Jakarta, Wednesday, November 29.
"There was an activity at the Palace with the ministers led by the President of the Republic of Indonesia," said Edwin explaining Prabowo's agenda today, quoted by ANTARA.
At the State Palace, Jakarta, President Joko Widodo is scheduled to inaugurate the Commander of the Strategic Reserve Command of the Indonesian Army (Pangkostrad) Lt. Gen. Maruli Simanjuntak as the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (KSAD) at 14.00 WIB. Prabowo is likely at the Palace to attend the inauguration ceremony.
Apart from that, Prabowo is scheduled to undergo routine activities at his office, Ministry of Defense, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jakarta.

The KPU stipulates that the 2024 presidential election campaign period will take place from 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024.
The pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, chose not to take leave from the first day until the second day of the campaign period opened by the Indonesian KPU.
Both of them, who are both still carrying out their duties as public officials, chose to continue working as usual, namely Prabowo as Minister of Defense and Gibran as Mayor of Surakarta.
Gibran, when met by reporters at the Surakarta City Hall, Tuesday (28/11), said that he wanted to focus on completing a number of infrastructure projects that were priorities for the development of Solo City, including the revitalization of Solo Safari and Balekambang Park.
Gibran said he was also still overseeing the preparations for the semifinals and finals of the U-17 World Cup which took place at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Central Java.
