Jambi Police Secure 3 Kg Of Methamphetamine From Mysterious Cars

The Jambi Police Narcotics Unit (Satresnarkoba) team secured three large packages containing three kilograms of methamphetamine from an unknown car.

"The three large packages of methamphetamine with a weight of 3,250 grams were found in a car where car owners were not in place during security," said Jambi Police Chief Kombes Eko Wahyudi as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 29.

This type of methamphetamine was secured by police personnel on Ring Road Barat 1, Kenali Asam Bawah Village, Kota Baru District, Jambi City.

Eko explained that on Friday (24/11) at around 04.30 WIB his party received a report regarding the discovery of methamphetamine in the car.

After that, at around 05.00 WIB, the Jambi Police Narcotics Unit visited the location where methamphetamine was found in the car.

"Arriving at the location, the members suspected that the car, which was parked on the side of the road, was unlocked," he said.

During the search, he said, he did not find the owner of the silver car containing the narcotics. After that, members of the Jambi Police Narcotics Unit conducted a search.

"During the search, members found 3 large packages of methamphetamine carried carpets on the left back of the passenger seats," he explained.

Head of the Jambi Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, Kompol Johan Christy Silaen, said he explained that the confiscated methamphetamine was approximately 3 kilograms.

Currently, the Jambi Police are also coordinating with the Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) of the Jambi Police to find out who owns the car carrying the methamphetamine.
