Police Summary 2 Dealers Who Smuggle Methamphetamine In Car Petrol Tanks
JAKARTA - Police have arrested two traffickers who smuggle methamphetamine-type drugs in car gas tanks.
The two people are a housewife with the initials YS (50) and a man with the initials ZN (44) with a total of four kilograms of methamphetamine evidence.
"What is unique about the disclosure of methamphetamine smuggling uses a modified sedan in the gas tank to trick the officers," said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Ady Wibowo quoted by Antara, Tuesday, February 16.
The two suspects were arrested separately. It was started on February 9 by the Tanjung Duren Police after receiving reports from the public about the circulation of crystal methamphetamine in the area with YS perpetrators.
The team made an effort to lure the perpetrators by pretending to be buyers in the Grogol area, West Jakarta. However, for one reason or another, the purchase has shifted its location to the Sawangan area near Citayam Station, Bogor, West Java.
"We succeeded in securing the suspect with the initials YS, where he brought the crystal methamphetamine in a box of one of the tea brands," said Ady.
Four kilograms of crystal methamphetamine were confiscated, each containing three packs of one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine in a tea box. The rest was found in one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine wrapped in a plastic flower pot at YS's house in Bojong Gede, Bogor, West Java.
From the results of the interrogation, it seems that the action of the suspect YS was assisted by ZN, who played a role in removing methamphetamine from the sedan whose tank had been modified. Then the police arrested ZN in Beji, Depok, West Java.
"The person concerned has been doing this for the last three months, but we are still investigating it and we indicate that this circulation is controlled by a prisoner in one of the prisons," said Ady.
The perpetrator is subject to article 114 of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 35 of 2009 on narcotics. The minimum punishment is 6 years imprisonment.
