JCI Strengthened Again, Opened At Level 5,524.09

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) was opened to continue strengthening. The JCI on Wednesday, March 3, opened up 5.45 points or 0.1 percent to the level of 5,524.09.

At the opening of trading this morning, there were 9 stocks rose, 18 stocks fell, and 18 stocks were stagnant. Trade transactions reached IDR 47.04 billion from 14.32 million shares traded.

Binaartha Sekuritas analyst, M. Nafan Aji Gusta Utama also predicts the JCI will be in the green zone today. "This indicates the potential for further strengthening in the JCI movement," he said.

That way, he said, the index has the opportunity to go to the closest resistance, which is predicted to be in the range 5,623-5,747. Even so, JCI also has the potential to be in the support area of 5,354-5,288.

This morning, stocks that are among the top gainers, namely PT Indocement Tunggal Prakasa Tbk (INTP) rose IDR 250 or 1.78 percent to IDR 14,300, shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) rose IDR 40 or 0.98 percent to IDR 4,140, and shares of PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) rose IDR 50 or 0.69 percent to IDR 7,250.

As for the stocks that entered the top losers, among others, the shares of PT Adhi Karya Tbk (ADHI) fell IDR 20 or 2.63 percent to IDR 740, shares of PT Tiphone Mobile Indonesia Tbk (TELE) fell IDR 4 or 2.61 percent IDR 149, and PT shares Tjiwi Kimia TBk Paper Factory (TKIM) decreased by Rp150 or 2.23 percent to Rp6,575.
