Stealing A Motorbike Owned By A Parent, Teenager In Lampung Arrested By Police

BANDAR LAMPUNG - Two teenagers with the initialsDA (15) and MA (15) were arrested by the Sukarame Police for allegedly stealing a motorbike belonging to their own parents, Yeyet (49), a resident of Perum Griya Indah, Sukabumi, Bandar Lampung City.

The two perpetrators were arrested by officers, on Saturday (25/11) in the morning, at the inn located on Jalan Narada, Way Halim, Bandar Lampung City. Meanwhile, the motorcycle theft occurred on Sunday, November 19.

Sukarame Police Chief Kompol Warsito explained that the victim Yeyet himself was the parent of one of the perpetrators, DA (15).

"The perpetrator DA (15) invited MA (15) to steal his own motorbike," said Kompol Warsito, quoted from a written statement from the Bandar Lampung Police Public Relations, Tuesday, November 28.

To be able to enter the garage where the motorbike was parked, the perpetrator broke the garage lock using a broken iron hanger. The perpetrator entered through the folding door using a duplicate key.

"After entering, the motorcycle was taken with the original key which was previously stored by the perpetrator DA (15)," said Kompol Warsito.

At the time of the theft, the house was empty.

Warsito explained that DA (15) had been separated for two months or had not lived with her parents.

The results of the investigation and examination of a number of witnesses and CCTV at the scene, both of them were finally secured by officers.

"After succeeding, these perpetrators changed the color of the motorcycle paint which was originally red and white to black," said Kompol Warsito.
