Governor Of Kaltara Coordinates With The Center To Propose DOB Tanjung Selor

TANJUNG SELOR - The capital city of North Kalimantan Province (Kaltara), which is located in Tanjung Selor City, Bulungan Regency, is still in the sub-district status.

"The Kaltara Provincial Government is still communicating with the central government, we hope that the moratorium is specifically for Kaltara there will be exceptions," said Kaltara Governor Zainal Arifin Paliwang, Monday, November 27.

Zainal said that the 34th provincial community hopes that Tanjung Selor will rise to his status as the capital city.

"We continue to carry out lobbying or communication with the central government so that Tanjung Selor becomes a priority," said the Governor.

The governor also hopes that Bulungan Regency will make efforts to expand the region, especially the formation of villages or sub-districts as well as new sub-districts. Thus, the requirements for going to the Tanjung Selor Intermediate City require 4 sub-districts.

"We are trying to realize the DOB of Tanjung Selor City by the central government," he said.

Zainal explained, in addition to the Tanjung Selor City DOB, Kaltara also proposed a DOB in Nunukan Regency, namely 3 proposals from Sebatik City which were proposed since 2011, which have been submitted to the President through the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri), DPRRI and DPD.

"Furthermore, there is the Land Dayak Border (Regional) Regency which was proposed in 2015, Krayan Regency, a 2017 DOB proposal that has been submitted to the President of the Republic of Indonesia through the Minister of Home Affairs, DPR RI and DPD RI," he explained.

Then, in Malinau Regency there was a 2016 DOB proposal, namely Apau Kayan Regency.

"Finally, the proposed DOB in 2020 in Bulungan Regency, namely Tanjung Selor City, All of the proposals are just waiting for a follow-up from the President," he concluded.
