Update On COVID-19 Per February 16: New Cases 10.029, Positivity Rate 18.4 Percent
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 28.167 specimens were examined with the results of 10.029 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1.233.959 people and as many as 160.689 active cases", the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Tuesday, February 16.
Recovered cases today increased by 7.609 cases so that a total of 1.039.674 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 229 people and the total was 33.596 people.
The province with the newest cases is in West Java with 4.032 cases and a total of 179.982 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 1.861 new cases with a total of 319.293 cases. Central Java has 1.101 new cases and a total of 143.419 cases. Then, East Java has 473 new cases and a total of 123.280 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to West Java with an increase of 2.100 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 2.096 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 578 recovered cases, and Bali with an additional 314 recovered cases.
There is one province that reported no new cases as of today. The province that reported zero new cases is Aceh.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 10.115.963. In detail, a total of 9.968.320 specimens were examined using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 147.643 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
"The cumulative positive results per number of people examined or a positivity rate of 18.4 percent", he wrote.
For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 86.960 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
Currently, 1.120.963 people have been vaccinated against the first dose of COVID-19 and 537.147 in the second dose. Meanwhile, the total vaccination targets reached 181.554.465 people.
