Preventing COVID-19, The Ministry Of Industry And The IDX Begin To Check Body Temperature

JAKARTA - Several office buildings have begun to tighten supervision of entrances following the presence of two residents positive for the corona virus or COVID-19. Monitoring is carried out by checking body temperature at several entrances to the building.

As is starting to be done at the Ministry of Industry building. There, the examination applies to whoever comes.

The Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Ministry of Industry, Achmad Sigit Dwiwahjono, said this preventive action was being carried out, considering that yesterday there were two Indonesian citizens who had tested positive for COVID-19. Body temperature checks will take effect on Tuesday 3 March.

Sigit said that every employee and guest who came to the Ministry of Industry building would be checked by officers using an infrared thermometer.

"Everyone who passes will be affixed with a digital body temperature measuring device on the forehead. Body temperature measurements will be carried out at the entrance to the Ministry of Industry's building," he said, in a statement quoted on Wednesday, March 4.

This body temperature check, said Sigit, is to identify the health condition of anyone who comes to the Ministry of Industry Building in more detail. If during the measurement of the body temperature, it reaches 37.5 degrees Celsius, the guests and employees will be examined further by the Ministry of Industry's Health Center team.

According to Sigit, this body temperature measurement will continue to be carried out until conditions in Indonesia are declared free from COVID-19. As a preventive measure, the Ministry of Industry has also prepared hand sanitizers on each floor of the building and entrance doors.

Not only that, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Ministry of Industry also made an announcement regarding an appeal to maintain health to employees within the Ministry of Industry.

Checking the body temperature of guests and employees is also applied at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) building. The IDX issues rules that must be obeyed by media crews when on the move within the IDX.

First, guests are asked to enter through the middle door of the IDX Building, following the procedure for checking body temperature or a thermal scan carried out by the management of the IDX Building.

"Furthermore, following the process of exchanging ID into an IDX Building access card, except for those who already have an IDX Building access card, they can enter the IDX Building directly," as written in the IDX official statement.

Then, secondly, for anyone who will attend the event at the IDX Main Hall, to enter through the main entrance, access the Silver Bull or the IDX Gift Shop to the Main Hall to then fill in the media attendance list that has been provided and is not allowed to go down through the 1st floor.

Third, if there is no event at the IDX Main Hall, you must first report to IDX Security on the GF floor to go to the Main Hall or 1st floor to go to the journalist room.

Not only that, media crews were also asked to maintain personal health and cleanliness in the IDX Main Hall and journalist room by not smoking and littering.

The IDX also recommends that you use a mask if you are in unhealthy condition and show symptoms of high fever, flu, cough and difficulty breathing.
