US House Speaker Want To Form A Capitol Hill Riot Investigation Commission, Still Chasing Donald Trump?

JAKARTA - Speaker of the United States (US) House of Representatives (US) Nancy Pelosi, announced plans to form a commission type 9/11 to investigate the riots on Capitol Hill, Washington DC last January 6 by supporters of Donald Trump, in a letter to members of the Democratic Party of the US House of Representatives.

"To protect our security, our security, our security, our next step is to form an independent external 9/11 Commission, to investigate and report the facts and causes related to the January 6, 2021 domestic terrorist attack on the United States Capitol Complex," wrote Nancy Pelosi who is also a politician from the Democratic Party, launching CNN.

Pelosi has previously called for the creation of such a commission and he believes there is a need for it. Such commissions would be established by law, passed by the US House of Representatives and the US Senate, signed by the US President into law. Commission members will not be elected leaders and will be outside the government.

In a separate letter to DPR Democrats earlier this month, Pelosi wrote that it was necessary to form a 9/11 Commission to report the facts, causes and security regarding the riots.

Earlier this month, Pelosi told reporters that a 9/11 style commission to investigate the Capitol Hill riots would look different from the one formed after the September 11, 2001 terror attacks.

"The commission is bigger, the emphasis is on diversity. Different from 9/11. What's there, nine people? All of them are white, one woman. Later (the commission to investigate the riots) will look different," he said at the time.

Pelosi also ensured that the commission would be completely independent, outside the government and the politicians he said would not be on the commission.

It is known that the riots on Capitol Hill, Washington DC on January 6, prompted the Democrat Party to move quickly to indict former President Donald Trump in January. The Senate impeachment trial of the former President ends at the weekend. As a result, Donald Trump is free of charges of incitement. It is not clear whether this submission is linked to Trump's release from impeachment.
