Detention Of Corruption Case Suspect Asabri Deposited At The KPK
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) received a deposit for the detention of the Director of Jakarta Issuer Investor Relations, Jimmy Sutopo, a suspect in the alleged corruption case of financial management and investment funds by PT Asabri (Persero) in 2012-2019. The custody of the suspect is carried out by the Attorney General's Office.
Jimmy was left on Monday, February 15 at the KPK branch detention center Kavling C1 ACLC building, Jalan Rasuna Said, South Jakarta.
"As a form of continuous support and coordination with the Attorney General's Office in handling corruption cases, the KPK has received a prisoner deposit on behalf of the suspect JS (Jimmy Sutopo)," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in a written statement, Tuesday, February 16.
Before settling in the cell, Jimmy will undergo independent isolation for 14 days in the same prison. This is done to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Previously reported, the Attorney General's Office (AGO) appointed Jimmy Sutopo (JS), Director of PT Jakarta Emiten Investor Relations as a suspect in a case of alleged corruption in financial management and investment funds at PT Asuransi Sosial Angkatan Bers Revolusi Republik Indonesia (Asabri).
The determination of the suspect against Jimmy was carried out after being examined by a marathon and was based on the Order Number Print 09 / f.2 / fd.2 / 02/2021 dated February 15, 2021. He is a private party involved in corruption.
Furthermore, as a suspect he was charged with Article 2 paragraph 1 or Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 Criminal Code.
Then, Article 3 of the Law on ML Eradication, Law number 8 of 2010 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code or Article 4 of Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning the prevention and eradication of ML in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code.
