The Body Of A Fallen TNI Soldier In Intan Jaya Was Flown To Jakarta
JAKARTA - The body of Prada Ginanjar, a member of Infantry Battalion 400/BR who died from a gunshot wound in Mamba village, Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, was evacuated to Jakarta.
"From Jakarta, the bodies were immediately taken to Sumanding Wetan Village, West Java for burial", said Assistant Operations for Kogabwilhan III Brigadier General Suwastyo in Jayapura, Tuesday, February 16.
Brigadier General Suwastyo, who is currently in Ambon, said that Prada Ginanjar's body was scheduled to arrive at Soekarno-Hatta Airport at around 18.50 WIB.
Prada Ginanjar died of a gunshot wound in the stomach during a gun battle in Mamba village, Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, Monday, February 15 at around 08.20 WIT.
Data from the Papua Regional Police for 2020, there were 49 cases of shootings and maltreatment which resulted in three TNI members being injured and five civilians injured.
There were three TNI members and 10 civilians who died in the shootout.
