Bogor Regent Expects Local Governments To Reap Profits From The Rp. 33.6 Trillion Project Of Hary Tanoe Conglomerates
JAKARTA - The Regent of Bogor, Ade Yasin, hopes that the establishment of the Lido area, Cigombong District as a Special Economic Zone (KEK), will increase local revenue (PAD) for the Bogor Regency Government, West Java.
"I hope that KEK Lido will increase local government revenue, encourage investment and accelerate the recovery of economic growth in Bogor Regency," he said in Cibinong, Bogor, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, February 16.
According to him, the area that will become the MNC Lido City SEZ will later become the first comprehensive tourism area in West Java. So, he hopes to support the acceleration of the achievement of the development target of Bogor Regency
"Through increased investment, the number of tourist visits, the development of MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises) and the creative economy and absorption of local labor," said Ade Yasin.
As is known, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs established two SEZs in Indonesia, one of which is MNC Lido City Bogor. The determination was made based on the results of the KEK National Council meeting on February 10, 2021.
The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto as well as the Chairman of the KEK National Council, explained that MNC Lido City Bogor borders the DKI Jakarta and Banten Provinces, so that it is surrounded by more than 70 million people.
KEK MNC Lido City which carries "Integrated Tourism Destination" includes various facilities such as world-class theme parks, golf courses, and retail and dining.
The area is projected to attract investment of up to US $ 2.4 billion (Rp.33.6 trillion, exchange rate of Rp.14,000 per US dollar), and is predicted to be able to increase the number of visits by domestic and foreign tourists to reach 63.4 million people in 2038 or on average. -An average of 3.17 million tourists per year.
