DPR Guards Infrastructure Progress In South Sulawesi

MAKASSAR - Commission V DPR emphasized that it will oversee the progress of infrastructure development in South Sulawesi (Sulsel).

"What is the hope of the Governor of South Sulawesi, we will guard it at the DPR RI," said Head of the Kunker Team Andi Iwan Darmawan Aras in his remarks at the meeting room of the South Sulawesi Governor's office, Monday, February 15.

There was also input from the Governor of South Sulawesi, Prof. Nurdin Abdullah, regarding the change in the status of provincial roads to national roads. The two-session elevated toll road, Andi Pettarani-Barombong Gowa, then Takalar - Bulukumba will be escorted at Commission V of the Indonesian Parliament.

"God willing, we will monitor the input from the Governor and will be our priority too," said the Chairman of DPD Gerindra Sulsel.

The same thing was conveyed by a member of Commission V DPR from the Golkar Party faction, Hamka Baco Kady. He emphasized that Balai Bina Marga of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) should conduct data analysis well. Because the road hasn't been enough for a year, it's already damaged and has holes in it.

"I really ask for a data collection analysis of how many kilometers, how long should we budget for it. Don't think about only repairs, repairs. But how can it be done properly," said the senior Golkar Party politician.

Hamko Baco hopes that the PUPR Ministry will coordinate with his party to discuss the budget needs, especially in South Sulawesi.

"The Rp. 14 billion budget is meaningless. Listening to today's presentation does not solve the problem, but creates new problems. In reality, the Commission has never been exposed," he said.
