AGO Investigators Examine 5 Witnesses To Investigate Suspected Corruption By BP Jamsostek

JAKARTA - Allegations of corruption in financial management and investment by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan or BP Jamsostek continue to be developed by the Attorney General's Office (AGO) investigators. Today, Monday, February 15, investigators have examined 5 witnesses.

Head of the Attorney General's Office of Legal Information, Leonard Eben Ezher Simanjuntak, said that the 5 witnesses being questioned came from various backgrounds. First, witness SW as PIC of PT Batavia Prosperindo Aset Manajemen.

Furthermore, ACW as Director of PT Ashmore Asset Management, LS as Director of PT Batavia Prosperindo Aset Manajemen, PBK as Director of PT BNI Sekuritas and finally RM as Dealer of BPJS-TK Debt Market.

"The witness examination was carried out in order to find legal facts and gather evidence regarding the Corruption Case in Financial Management and Investment Funds at the Social Security Administration for Employment," said Leonard Eben Ezher in Jakarta, Monday, February 15.

Leonard did not explain in detail what he studied. "The witness examination was carried out with due observance of health protocols regarding the prevention of transmission of Covid-19," he explained.

The team of investigating prosecutors at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes began examining related parties as witnesses in alleged corruption cases in financial management and investment by BP Jamsostek. The examination is based on an Investigation Order Number: Print-02 / F.2 / Fd.2 / 01/2021.

On Tuesday, February 19, the team of investigating prosecutors examined ten witnesses and ten other witnesses will be questioned on Wednesday, February 20.

The twenty witnesses were officials and employees of the Jakarta BPJS Ketenagakerjaan head office.
