Update On COVID-19 As Of February 15: 6.426 Positive Cases Were Found, And 184 People Have Died

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has released data on developments in handling COVID-19. Based on the results of the examination of 26.378 specimens, 6.462 new positive cases were found.

Meanwhile, the province with the most recovered cases is also occupied by DKI Jakarta with 2.082 cases. Then, West Java with 1.265 cases, East Java with 724 cases, East Kalimantan with 484 cases, and Bali with around 328 cases.

So far, 9 provinces have reported additional cases under 10, including Jambi, North Maluku, Riau Islands, Bengkulu, and Southeast Sulawesi. Meanwhile, there are 3 provinces without positive cases, namely, Aceh, West Kalimantan, and Maluku.

In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 10.087.796. In detail, 9.940.768 specimens were examined using real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 147.028 specimens using molecular rapid tests (TCM).

"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 18.3 percent", he wrote.

For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 88.669 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
