Increase In Suspect COVID-19 Patients At RSPI Sulianti Saroso

JAKARTA - The day after the government announced that two Depok residents were positive for the corona virus or COVID-19, the number of patients under surveillance continued to increase. A total of eight people entered the isolation room at the Sulianti Saroso Infectious Disease Hospital.

President Director of the Hospital for Infectious Diseases (RSPI) Prof. Dr. Sulianti Saroso, Mohammad Syahril said, four of them were referral patients from private illnesses who showed symptoms of suspect Corona.

"Last night (March 2) there were 4 patients, while in isolation and having been examined, he entered with a fever, and also had a sore throat," said Syahril in Jakarta, Tuesday, March 3.

Of the four people, three of them had contact or contact with two positive corona patients. Meanwhile, the remaining one has just traveled from abroad.

Then, Tuesday, March 3, morning, two patients with suspected corona returned to undergo isolation. They are also referral patients from one of the communities.

"From a hospital in Jakarta. I can't say the origin," said Syahril.

On Monday, March 2, two people who were gardeners and assistants of a positive corona patient were also observed at this hospital. However, a day later, the team of doctors decided to send him home because he was negative for the corona.

Meanwhile, for the two positive people for COVID-19, whom President Joko Widodo had mentioned, they are in good condition. There are no more worrisome symptoms from both of them. However, they sometimes still cough for a short duration.

"The two positive corona patients are in better condition, so they can communicate well, have no more fever, only have a little cough, and are not short of breath," said Syahril.
