Rahmania Astrini Tells Her Experience When Appearing At Coldplay Concert
Rahmania Astrini opened the Coldplay concert at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Central Jakarta on Wednesday, November 15 evening.
Appearing in front of 80 thousand people who packed SUGBK, Rahmania Astrini admitted that there was a fear before appearing on stage.
"When I first came to the stage I was really nervous, because I heard his voice. I tried to use my early monitor, because I never had a situation that big, on stage that big, with that many viewers," said Rahmania Astrini in Ceger, East Jakarta, Friday, November 17.
However, his nervousness began to disappear when he was on stage. He felt the joy he had never felt when he saw the faces of the audience in front of him. "As soon as he got to the stage, he lost his nervousness. Because I was very happy, it turned out that there were many people I could see his face one by one, especially the front. Actually, it was amazing, I love it," he said.
That night, Rahmania Astrini performed six songs, which came from her debut single entitled Menua Bersama, to the latest single titled Maybe Someplace Somehow. She also performed a rearrangement version of Chrisye and Maliq & D Essentials.
"That's a consideration (setlist) is that I think on the one hand I know from 80,000 viewers yesterday, of course there are still a lot of people who don't know me, so I want to find out how they can still make my songs but it can also entertain them with songs that are already popular," said Rahmania Astrini.
"Because I myself don't have a really hit song yet. Well, I did get the opportunity in 2018 to recycle Chrisye's song Aku Cinta Dia and also Untitled from Maliq & D'Escentials. Really, thank God, we have had the opportunity for the song, so we have composed the two songs," continued the singer and songwriter from Bandung.
To prepare for the opening of the Coldplay concert, the 22-year-old singer admitted to preparing all her performances for the last three months.
"I remember really when we panicked for three months, we immediately rushed to practice looking for a studio, because it was also difficult to lock up the schedule. So, in the end, for three months of panic a little, still silent suddenly thinking about the setlist, thinking about what I would say this song. Think about it every day because maybe his enthusiasm is also big," concluded Rahmania Astrini.
